The Dash is a visual identity design for the exhibition art Nova 100. The "Dash" implies the turning point and breakthrough of settlement. Based on the concept of the "dash," we designed a dynamic presentation and flexible multi-lateral visual mode for this exhibition.

The dash is the main concept design, and the pattern generated by the repeated movement of the dash was used as the primary figure. To convey the dash is not an established symbol, but a symbolic sign that implies movements, transformations, and changes by breaking the original balance and building a new visual perspective for Art Nova 100.

2017年是“青年艺术100”发展的第七年，基于对中国青年艺术家当下生态及未来发展的研究和分析，以“破折号”作为展览主题，亦是寓意“破局”与“转折”。所谓“局，促也。破之，拓之。”

“破折”寓意着对于现状的转折与突破，基于“破折号”的概念出发，我们为本次展览设计了动态的呈现方式以及灵活多边的视觉模式。在视觉中除了突出“破折号”的图形特征，同时也传达“破折号”作为符号出现时对于文本信息以及空间的转折作用。将“破折号”作为设计的切入点，以破折号的重复运动而生成的图案作为基础图形。传达出“破折号”并非一个既定符号，而是一个寓意着运动、转换与改变的象征图形。以打破原有平衡、转折出新的视角为视觉特点。
